MECA BOARD 2009-2010

MECA exists to support clergy in their ministry, spiritual lives, and personal wellness. MECA sponsors two workshops annually for clergy on issues such as prayer, spirituality, time management, marriage counseling, evangelization, burnout, deployment and the search process. The MECA newsletter is published three-four times a year with articles on topics such as mission, preserving Anglican unity, continuing education, sabbaticals, and clergy support groups. The MECA Board reports on its activities and seeks input and suggestions at the Annual Clergy Conference and at Clergy Days throughout the year. The Board meets monthly from September to June, usually on the third Tuesday of the month. The co-presidents meet annually with the Bishop to discuss ways that the diocese can support clergy and to hear the Bishop's perspective on clergy issues.
